6 Months In...

Updated: Dec 10, 2021

Looking back it is hard to believe that we have already been operating under COVID-19 restrictions for almost six months. We would like to thank you for being patient and helping us to improve our new routines along the way.  We would also like to thank you for being responsible and staying home when you need to and asking us when you are not sure if you should. November 4 will mark the six-month anniversary of our reopening, and while a lot has changed, much has remained the same. We continue to monitor Dr. Hinshaw’s updates and recommendations and adjust our practice according to what is the best current evidence in order to keep our patients and staff as safe as possible. What have we changed along the way?

  • We required all persons entering the clinic to use a mask as of June 16, 2020 (six weeks before the city of Edmonton enacted their mask bylaw).

  • We have been able to donate proceeds from selling masks during this time to the recovery of Teagan Marsden from his illness. Read Tagan's story.

  • We implemented the ability for you to do Covid-19 pre-screening online prior to your appointment.

What have we kept the same?

  • We continue to screen our staff daily for signs/symptoms of COVID-19 and any potential contact that would put our patients or staff at risk for transmission as per Alberta Health Services guidelines.

  • We continue our commitment to providing a clean facility with proper opportunity for appropriate physical distancing during your visit.

  • We continue to modify our scheduling in order to minimize multiple patients arriving at the same time for their appointments.

  • All staff continue to wear PPE and follow distancing recommendations for non-patient care.

  • Moving our charting to electronic format allows for a minimal touch environment for your paperwork.

  • We continue to offer virtual sessions where you meet with the therapist one on one over our online portal for those who should not go out or do not wish to have in-person treatment at this time.
