The team and I have decided that it is in the best interest of our patients and our staff to hit pause until April 6, 2020. We knew that this was a strong possibility in the face of the Covid-19 outbreak but determining when it was best for all has been difficult. While we continue to be assured that by following outlined screening procedures and continuing our infection control protocols that we could operate safely, we have decided that now is the time to take a break. This is not a decision that we take lightly and it is very difficult to step back from those who rely on our service. Most of those travelling out of the country will be returning by this weekend as borders close and flights become hard to come by so it feels like this is the time to really try to help interrupt any community transmission.
I would really like to thank our staff who have worked hard through this difficult time as I know it has not been easy on them or their loved ones. This is a stressful time for everyone balancing caring for their own health along with that of others. I hope that they can take this time and enjoy some time at home with those closest to them and stay healthy. I look forward to having our group back together in a couple weeks.
I would also like to thank all of our patients who continue to show confidence in our facility and staff. We appreciate your complying with our extra requests for hand washing and our questioning about your health status at the door. Everybody has been amazing and understanding during this time and the whole staff thanks you.
If you have an upcoming appointment scheduled we will be in touch to rebook you after April 6. In the meantime…
