We're Back!

Updated: Dec 10, 2021

March 20 seems like a long time ago, yet again it doesn’t, because we have been so busy preparing for today. Today we can announce that we will again be working in the clinic starting Monday, May 4, 2020. We have also learned some new tricks since you last saw us:

  • We have gone paperless and your chart is now electronic.

  • You can book your appointments on our website at southedmontonphysio.ca.

  • You will now get a text message or email reminders about your appointments, and you can log on to your profile and see them for yourself as well.

  • Our website southedmontonphysio.ca is better than ever.

  • We have learned how to teleconference and have found it to be a very useful tool, one that we will integrate into our practice from now on to supplement what we do in the clinic and be in better touch with you.

  • We have set up the clinic and our schedules to continue to provide treatment allowing for appropriate distancing.

  • We have cleaned, cleaned, and cleaned some more.

  • Most importantly we have stayed healthy and did our part in “flattening the curve”. But the work here is not done…

So, how are we doing things now?

To schedule an appointment, you can call into the clinic at 780.438.0001 OR you can book online. We will also be trying to reach people, but if you beat us to it, good for you!   Our first priority is that we want all of our patients and staff to feel safe and be safe. We have adjusted our practice to the “new normal” and will continue to adjust along the way in order to deliver the best experience possible. We would like to thank all those who have been patiently waiting and for being understanding along the way. We are staggering appointments and reducing the overall number of people in the clinic. Our therapists have modified hours for the time being; this like everything else will continue to change and evolve. We have also rearranged the clinic where necessary to facilitate physical distancing within in the clinic.   Just like the province of Alberta, we are staggering our own opening so that we are booking those who we have been having virtual sessions, those with new injuries, and those who really need the hands-on treatment and have been patiently waiting to come see us first. We will confirm those who have appointments already booked for the following weeks during the week of May 4. We may need to make some adjustments in your times, but we will make sure you are taken care of. We will be using a combination of in-clinic and virtual care delivery so we can still keep you home as much as needed. So far our feedback has been very positive on this new method. If we feel you are better served with our virtual sessions, we will continue seeing you this way until things change. Our infection control practices remain in place from before the break. You will still be screened at the door and asked to use hand sanitizer or wash your hands before your treatment. It is recommended that the therapists wear masks and you are welcome to as well if it makes you more comfortable. We will not be providing them for you as they are in short supply. We ask that if you are going to wear a mask that it be a clean one. Just like before, if you appear to have any degree of respiratory illness we will ask you to reschedule. Lastly, you may be asked to fill out some new paperwork on our site to make the transition of your chart from electronic to paper easier. Once again thank you for your patience over the past five weeks and we look forward to seeing you!
